About us
Medisec Software is a specialist systems developer providing clinical correspondence solutions for the health service.
We generate patient information documents and communicate them electronically between hospitals, GP surgeries and other health agencies, such as Social Services. The products use existing NHS IT infrastructure such as NHS Net, Patient Administration Systems (PAS) and GP surgery systems.
Formed in 1991, Medisec was born from a desire to overcome the limitations of PAS technology for hospital administrative staff, providing the backbone for day-to-day operations, particularly in the communications between hospitals and surgeries.
Based in Chester, we have developed a two-way communications package, allowing primary and secondary care professionals to exchange better quality patient information, more quickly and efficiently.
The products help a wide range of healthcare employees to communicate more effectively with one another, including medical secretaries, administration staff, practice managers, GPs, consultants, nurses, discharge liaison officers, pharmacists and Social Services professionals.
By bridging the communications gap between hospitals and GPs, Medisec Software has improved standards of patient care, increased efficiency and reduced costs within the National Health Service.
