Formed in 1992, Medisec Software is a specialist systems developer providing tried and tested paperless NHS digital dictation and clinical correspondence solutions. We have more than 25 years experience in deploying electronic ‘end to end’ solutions for clinical correspondence within the NHS, allowing primary and secondary care professionals to exchange better quality patient information, more quickly and efficiently.
We work with many leading Foundation Trust hospitals including the Countess of Chester Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, Alder Hey Children’s NHS Foundation and City Hospitals Sunderland NHS Foundation Trust. 15,000 primary and secondary healthcare professionals use Medisec products nationwide. Over 5 million documents are generated and transmitted annually using Medisec technology. Our products use existing NHS IT infrastructure and are compatible with all Electronic Patient Records/Health Records systems (EPR/EMR), Patient Administration Systems (PAS) and GP surgery systems. We have won three titles in the Healthcare IT Effectiveness Awards, the most prestigious awards in the health informatics industry, including ‘Best use of IT in the Health Service’. Medisec software has met the criteria for the Department of Health’s interoperability toolkit (ITK2).

Our Baseline Emissions Footprint
Understanding and monitoring our carbon footprint is extremely important to us. Supercritical were engaged to measure our carbon footprint for the year 2022. The scope and boundary of our baseline carbon emissions has been informed by the Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Protocol.
